I read an interesting article that was questioning if Google is jumping the shark. The article was sharp in ripping Google off all its latest improvements and I must admit that I agreed to most part of it.
There was a time when I found my information from the organic listings. Today, sponsored section seems to be my best bet, which is great for Google (and one wonders if that is the reason Google allows organic search results’ relevancy take a beating).
Unfortunately, the solutions (Blekko and DuckDuckGo) suggested in the very article are far from being good alternatives (even as I wonder what happened to cuil.com that launched with a fan fare).
That Google dominance in search is undisputed is true.
That Bing along with Facebook is trying hard is true.
Even bigger truth is an emergence of a disruptive technology that will shatter the competition (with reference to my earlier post).
