As a teenager, I used to hate it when my big brother used to police everything I did. Whom I met, where I went, what I gossiped over a phone call etc., so much so that I was worried about my judgement at times.

If you hired the right people, stop policing their actions to reap the right benefits.
Incapable and insecure people want to do policing of their people in organisations. Such people do not have the capability anyway to identify right people to hire.
